SkinInspire Medical Aesthetics – Refund Policy

1. Policy Statement

SkinInspire Medical Aesthetics provides medical and aesthetic treatments and supplies medical-grade skincare products within a clinically governed and safety-led environment.

Due to the nature of the services and products provided, and the legal and regulatory requirements governing medical treatments and prescription-only medicines, the clinic operates a strict refund policy.

This policy is implemented to ensure:

  • Patient safety and infection prevention standards are upheld

  • Compliance with medicines legislation and clinical governance requirements

  • Fair, consistent, and transparent handling of all financial transactions

By proceeding with treatment or purchasing products, patients confirm that they have read, understood, and accepted this policy.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

2. Treatments (Professional Services)

All treatments provided by the clinic are classified as professional services delivered following consultation, clinical assessment, and informed consent.

Fees charged reflect:

  • Clinical time and professional expertise

  • Medical assessment and decision-making

  • Safe delivery of treatment and associated clinical responsibilities

Once a treatment has been carried out:

  • It is non-refundable

Patients acknowledge that:

  • Clinical outcomes cannot be guaranteed

  • Results vary between individuals due to biological response, medical history, and lifestyle factors

  • Multiple treatments or maintenance sessions may be required to achieve or maintain results

Refunds will not be provided in circumstances including, but not limited to:

  • Dissatisfaction with aesthetic outcome

  • Perceived lack of effectiveness

  • Differences between expected and actual results

  • Requirement for additional or alternative treatments

Patients are provided with comprehensive information during consultation, including risks, limitations, and realistic expectations, to support fully informed decision-making.

Where clinically appropriate, the clinic may offer:

  • A review appointment

  • Adjustment or corrective treatment

Such actions are provided at the discretion of the clinical team and do not constitute an obligation to provide a refund.

3. Prepaid Treatments, Courses & Packages

All prepaid treatments, courses, and packages are subject to agreed terms at the time of purchase.

These are:

  • Non-refundable once commenced

  • Non-transferable to another individual

Patients are responsible for:

  • Booking and attending treatments within a reasonable timeframe

  • Completing treatment plans as advised

Failure to attend or complete a course of treatment does not entitle the patient to a refund for any unused sessions.

Where expiry periods apply, these will be communicated at the time of purchase and must be adhered to.

4. Prescription-Only Medicines (POMs)

Treatments involving prescription-only medicines are governed by strict legal, regulatory, and safety requirements.

Once a prescription-only medicine has been:

  • Prescribed following clinical consultation

  • Ordered from a pharmacy

  • Prepared, dispensed, or allocated for a named patient

It is:

  • Non-refundable

  • Non-transferable

This is due to:

  • UK medicines legislation and prescribing regulations

  • Infection control and patient safety standards

  • The legal requirement that medicines are issued for named individuals only and cannot be reused or reassigned

If a patient chooses not to proceed after this stage, the cost of the medication remains payable.

Patients retain the right to decline treatment prior to prescribing.

5. Retail / Shop Products

All retail and medical-grade skincare products purchased from the clinic are:

  • Non-refundable

  • Non-returnable

This applies to all products, including those that are unopened or unused.

This policy is in place due to:

  • Hygiene and infection control requirements

  • Inability to verify storage conditions once products have left the clinic

  • Patient safety considerations relating to medical-grade skincare

  • Products being supplied directly from manufacturers or cosmetic pharmacies, where the clinic does not oversee packaging, sealing, or handling prior to receipt

By purchasing products from the clinic, patients acknowledge and accept that:

  • All product sales are final

  • It is their responsibility to ensure suitability prior to purchase

The clinic will not provide refunds or exchanges where:

  • A patient changes their mind

  • The product is unsuitable for personal preference

  • Incorrect product selection is made after purchase

Patients are strongly advised to seek professional guidance from the clinical team prior to purchasing.

Faulty or Damaged Goods

This policy does not affect statutory rights.

Where a product is:

  • Faulty

  • Damaged

  • Not of satisfactory quality at the time of purchase

The clinic will provide an appropriate resolution in accordance with UK consumer protection legislation.

6. Deposits, Cancellations & Non-Attendance (DNA)

Deposits are required to secure all appointments and are strictly non-refundable.

Deposits:

  • Form part of the overall treatment cost

  • Secure allocated clinical time, staffing, and resources

Deposits will be forfeited where:

  • An appointment is cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice

  • The patient fails to attend (DNA)

  • The patient arrives late and treatment cannot be safely delivered

Patients acknowledge that:

  • Late cancellations and non-attendance result in financial loss to the clinic

  • These policies are necessary to maintain safe operations and fair access for all patients

Repeated non-attendance or late cancellations may result in refusal of future bookings.

7. SkinClub Memberships

SkinClub memberships operate under a fixed-term contractual agreement.

By enrolling, patients agree that:

  • Payments are non-refundable once the agreement has commenced

  • Monthly payments must be maintained for the full agreed term

Where treatments have been accessed:

  • Outstanding payments remain due in full

Failure to complete the membership term does not entitle the patient to a refund for unused treatments or remaining time within the agreement.

8. Exceptional Circumstances

In rare and exceptional circumstances, refund requests may be reviewed.

Any decision:

  • Is made at the sole discretion of the clinic

  • Will be based on clinical judgement, safety considerations, and fairness

  • Will take into account the individual circumstances of the case

Approval of a refund in one instance does not establish a precedent or entitlement for future cases.

9. Contact

For any queries relating to this policy, patients should contact the clinic directly.
